How do pickleball tournaments work?
You register for one or more events at a stop, based on your skill level and age group. Most PPx events start with round robin pools, so you play a minimum of 3 games. The top 2 from each pool move on to the playoff rounds, and the semi-final winners play for gold. The Open division is double elimination. Win your division and you spin the cash wheel before you leave.
Do I need a DUPR rating to enter?
No. You can register for any division at any PPx Tour stop. We run a DUPR check on every entry before the bracket is set, which keeps the divisions honest and the matches close.
Do I need a partner?
No. If you do not have a partner, register on your own and use the partner finder on pickleballtournaments.com to match up with another player in your division.
Are there beginner pickleball tournaments?
Yes. Every PPx Tour stop has a 2.5 division, which makes a good first tournament. DUPR verified brackets mean you play people at your level.
